Hardwoods and stiff shoji compilation. African Padauk wood top and bottom frames have dove-tailed inlayed maple joinery. Lantern showcases strong and visual maple and red padauk woods enhancing organic touch creating a warmth of space.
The top lid of has a scroll cut Kanji “Tree of Life” design cut into the wood top. Since ancient times, wood has been contemplated with reverence in Japan even after its cut, its seen as a living thing. Shinto the countries original religion viewed trees as divine, a means by which gods descended to earth.

Shoji paper Lens is a tough, translucent paper made of wood fibers. Light bulb 60-watt equivalent 450-750 lumens. All bulbs are LED so no heat is generated, and all bulbs are dimmable when using the dimmer switch. Inline cord switch.
